Plamere Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Are Premium Plamere tips and needles reusable?
The Premium Plamere tips and needles are intended to be reusable. It is recommended to disinfect them with alcohol wipes before reuse.
Regarding the needle: it is made of copper, so it is normal for the tip to gradually turn black during use. This discoloration is caused by the arc plasma generated during operation and does not necessarily indicate a defect.
For hygiene purposes, especially in a professional setting, you may also use a new needle for each client.
What is the recommended cleaning routine for Premium Plamere brass parts?
1. Clean with an ultrasonic cleaner or a neutral detergent (1–3 minutes)Remove oil, dirt, and machining residue from the surface. Clean the parts using a soft brush with a mild neutral detergent (e.g., dish soap) diluted in lukewarm water, or place them in an ultrasonic cleaner for 1–2 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with clean water afterward.Do not use acidic or alkaline cleaners.
2. Disinfect with 70% alcohol (30 seconds–1 minute)After gently shaking off excess water, immerse the parts in 70% ethanol or isopropyl alcohol (IPA) for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Alcohol provides effective disinfection while also helping remove moisture and evaporating quickly, making it ideal for brass parts.
3. Dry completely immediately (Critical)After removing the parts from the alcohol, dry them immediately using compressed air (air gun) or warm air from a hair dryer. Make sure all moisture, including water trapped in small gaps, is completely removed.
⚠️ Important Precautions
1) Do not air dry. Leaving brass parts to dry naturally while moisture remains may cause oxidation, resulting in blue or black discoloration within 1–2 days. Always dry the parts thoroughly using forced air.
2) Do not use bleach or chlorine-based disinfectants.Chlorine-based products (such as bleach) can rapidly corrode brass and must never be used.
What is the recommended way to sterilize the reusable tips and needle components?
1. Dry Heat Sterilization (180°C)
It is possible and is the method we recommend. However, after sterilization, please do not cool the parts rapidly (by immersing them in water) before they have cooled completely, as sudden temperature changes may cause slight deformation. It is best to allow them to cool gradually inside the sterilizer.
2. Autoclave sterilization
We do not recommend this method, as it may increase the risk of discoloration and corrosion.
Can I apply serums used with microneedling or mesotherapy devices also with the Premium Plamere?
Since the Premium Plamere Plasma device establishes microchannels in the skin similar to microneedling or mesotherapy, but without their negative side effects all of these serums/lotions/creams can also be used with the Plamere device.
What is Plasma?
Plasma is often called “the fourth state of matter,” along with solid, liquid and gas. Just as a liquid will boil, changing into a gas when energy is added, heating a gas will form a plasma – a soup of positively charged particles (ions) and negatively charged particles (electrons).
